Attractants are used to cause your quarry to react to the basic instincts of sex and survival. Most attractants are urines or other bodily fluids from the prey you seek. These have proven over the years to be very effective products.

In the effeorts to differentiate one bottle of urine from another though, there has been a great deal of hype. There are a few facts that are consistant accross the board about urine and bodily fluid attractants..... All of the bodily floids used in the scent industry are collected from farm raised, hay fed, grain supplimented, vacinated animals. There is no possible way that they can smell exactly like wild game scents....The other fact is this, Urine attractants are a miserable, smelly, messy pain in the neck to use and require a great deal of paraphernalia to use them effectively.

The only true advance in the use of urines as attractants in more than 50 years is "The Scent Stick" by Trophy Blend. The convinience and ease of use the "Scent Stick" provides the hunter is unparalleled in the industry and the attractants are every bit as effective as the liquids.

Sitting a stand or a blind can be a very effective way to use Trophy Blend attractants. Simply dial the stick up and set it on a branch or a rock where the breeze can get it. Next back off 20 to 30 yards and cover yourself thoroughly with Trophy Blend cover scent, settle in and let nature take its course. If you are using game calls, call from the position of the "Scent Stick" and then back off your 20 to 30 yards.

You have found an area and it is getting late. There he is! But it is to late to take a shot. What do you do? Lightly spread some scent around the area, estrus is best for this method. This will help to keep the animal in the area for the night. Work your way back in the morning, making sure your cover scent is fresh. When you get back to your area, dial up the urine scent, make a few calls and head back to your shooting position. The animal that comes in will be looking for heaven in a little black tube and will pay no attention to you!

Want to leave a trail? Just dial your stick up and allow the brush to rub on the stick as you walk into your set up area. Do not get carried away, a little goes a long way. you want them to follow a trail to your set up area not stop on the trail and lick up the scent 100 yards out! When you get to your set up area either dial the stick way up and use it as a wick or rub a greater amount on the trees, rocks and brushes in your set up area.

You need a wick? Dial your stick up and set it on a rock or a branch. When you are done you can dial it down, put the cap back on and head out. There will be no residual for the animals to come into during the night giving you considerably more control of your setup area.

The Greatest Myth About Attractants. Somewhere along the way and over the years hunters have been told, and firmly believe today, that attractants are best when applied to their person.

IT IS NOT TRUE!

If you have applied an attractant to yourself and you are seeking a big game animal, you must also realize that same animal is seeking you.

When your beautiful, once in a lifetime, bull or buck comes in to the attractant, he becomes very nervous and even aggitated when he does not recognize what he has been smelling. The only thing he finds out there is some odd thing that smells like the love of his life but looks more like some stranged bush.

Now you have successfully brought your prizein and he is now facing directly at you, wondering what the heck you are, leaving you a poor shot angle at best. He is very aware that something isn't right. Facing you, nervous and hyper alert any motion sets him off. You can't draw your bow, follow with your head or sometimes even breath. Uh Uh! Too strange for him and he is gone...If you are lucky. The wonderful trophy you were looking for came in looking for some luvin or some fightin. T

This critter is far quicker and stronger than you, and he comes fully equiped with a head full of daggars, hooves that can slice and dice or a paw full of knives and now you have him highly aggitated and he may be just as likely to attack. It happens more often than you might think!

APPLYING ATTRACTANTS TO YOUR PERSON IS VERY, VERY DANGEROUS!

It is also an extraordinarily ineffective use of your attractant scent and a waste of your hard earned money!
